I love being a photographer. Ever since I was a little girl, I remember trying to capture beauty. I was a sketcher. I was a designer of flower garlands. I was a daydreamer. Not till I picked up a camera though did I find the expression of all the beauty I saw in a way that fulfilled me completely. There is nothing more beautiful than love, and capturing love is what I enjoy most.

Deena & Victor have that love sparkle in their eyes for each other. It never ceases to amaze my heart that in this big sometimes scary world that two hearts can find each other and beat as one. I know from being in love that it’s a wonderful feeling, and when I see it on the faces of a couple like Deena & Victor it brings a huge smile to my face.

Sabrina & I wanted to design a rustic & playful theme for Deena & Victor. They are a couple that laughs a lot and likes to have fun. They also wanted something romantic and memorable. You could call both Sabrina and I “frugalistas”… we love nothing better than combing thrift shops and antique malls for perfect finds and repurposing our treasures. This bike was a find at a Catholic church thrift sale for $5 and Sabrina designed the fabric details from second hand men’s shirts… the Brooks Brother’s pinky red and white striped is my fave. Ad an impromptu bouquet of berries and baby’s breath, chalk, a local farm & sunshine, and we were ready!

Victor (tough MARINE) was a completely great sport about this next shot… though he said he’s going to “get it” from his buddies;)
